Unlock Your Health – NATURAL THERAPIES Series

Did you know that your body has the amazing capacity to heal itself?  The problem arises when we interfere, voluntarily or involuntary in its natural healing process. BUT don’t despair; there are many self-healing methods that can work wonders in boosting your health and well-being.

 

Since I was introduced to REIKI back in 2012, my interest on NATURAL THERAPIES has increased progressively and my personal experience just confirmed that it really works. Also, witnessing and watching others experiences, simply reinforces my confidence to incite your curiosity.

 

EXPERIENCES

A long time ago my partner shared that he had suffered from ANXIETY, and he had a few episodes in his early 20’s. At that time the doctor suggested to him to breathe into a plastic bag and also prescribed tablets to relax. 3 years ago he had another episode and this time I was with him. I was desperate, watching him with difficulty in breathing and not knowing what to do. I stayed with him, trying to make him relax and he gradually calmed down.

 

At that time I was learning REIKI, and my teacher suggested doing a treatment on him. I need to say that he was a little bit skeptical in the beginning but because he trusted me he accepted to try it. At the end of the treatment he recognized something  shifted and the tension he was feeling in his chest disappeared. And it hasn’t come back since then.

 

For his own benefit, he decided to learn REIKI 1. Now,  when he feels headaches, migraines, flu symptoms, or even if he is living a stressed situation he applies his skills, and deliberately the shift happens.

 

The same has happened with me. While I loved my job, many times I’ve felt STRESSED with the workload and suffered from job politics, but I was confident with the “power” – knowledge is power – I got, and every day I had the following morning routine to support my well-being: Meditation, REIKI, Tapping, and Qi Cong.

It may sound like taking too much time but it doesn’t. What is 20-30 minutes per day when you get your health balanced (Mind-Body-Spirit)? If you think is too long, sorry to say… but you are definitely not interested to look after yourself.

 

NATURAL THERAPIES HELP LOOKING AFTER YOU MENTAL HEALTH

Oh… Tapping!! I love Tapping because the results can be instantaneous. A few months ago, I wrote about Tapping (read more here) and I was pleased when a gentleman replied back saying he was really interested to learn more about this technique. He also shared that working in remote sites is hard and many mental issues arise.

 

Problems with alcohol, widespread bullying, feelings of isolation, financial pressure and high levels of stress, anxiety, depression and fatigue are examples of what these people face and many times ending with suicide. Unfortunately, these problems seem to be happening across other industries as well.

 

Good mental health is about being able to work and study to your full potential, cope with day-to-day life stresses, be involved in your community, and live your life in a free and satisfying way.

A person who has good mental health has good emotional and social wellbeing and the capacity to cope with change and challenges.HEADSPACE

 

Data shows that there is still a big stigma around MENTAL HEALTH (anxiety, depression,…), and people often don’t look for help. So MY FRIENDS, if you are in this situation or someone you know is, PLEASE SHARE this information and look for help. Simple exercises can make a big difference. Open your mind and your heart and do yourself a favor! You own this to yourself. Be kind with yourself.

 

WHERE FROM HERE

We have now an abundance of information to help us to bring our health, mental and physical, on the track. I am talking about Natural Techniques and Therapies. I believe that we should reduce to the minimum the use of medication and opt for more natural alternatives.

 

I’m not a doctor, but from what I’ve read and experienced there are other ways to get your health back without suffering from side effects of medication. We need Doctors, Specialists, Researchers, and I am pleased that medicine has evolved so much in the last decades; many lives are saved every single minute. BUT if we can manage to take care of ourselves and live heathier – I AM IN!

 

NOW that I know what I experienced, I want to learn even more about others therapies and eventually try them.
