I had my first presentation on Tuesday at the Southport Library (Gold Coast) together with three fantastic guests and friends that believed in me. Amazing audience! 14 attendees that were curious enough to learn something new.
Everything went very well, thanks to Bindi from Southport Library and to my guests: Catarina, Livia and Caroline.
The PURPOSE was to share with the audience some opportunities available to improve their lives financially and to inspire them to take action.
My guests shared their personal stories, experiences, their life before, the turning points, challenges faced and how they changed their life for the better.
MY PERSONAL STORY
Just three weeks ago I was made redundant. It all happened very quickly. No one saw it coming. In one week I went from, what I thought was a secure job, to being unemployed. This just shows how insecure working for someone can be even if you are in a permanent position.
Now, I have two OPTIONS: look for another job OR create my own economy. I always wanted to have control of my life so I saw this situation as my turning point to move on a different path.
I decided to create my own economy – a home based business – focused on something that I enjoy doing and capable of generating income as well.
With this decision I intend to secure myself a job, be free from schedules, be free from work place politics, raise my hourly rate, and be able to do something new daily.
We all know that owning a home based business isn’t a choice as a career for some people BUT why not have it on the side?
This is what I did. While I was still working from 8-4, I started to work on my home based business in the background.
Having a side job, can provide many benefits like paying off debts quicker, saving for retirement or even a nice family vacation, including tax breaks if you are operating a business.
In my case, the idea to become a Blogger and Network Marketing advocate didn’t come in one day. It has been the result of research about the opportunities available.
I found that there are lots of opportunities out there, that you can either do part-time or full-time, and you are the one who defines your own terms.
Based on what I learned, I decided to compile this presentation and share with you this valuable information so you can benefit from this as well.
WHY NOT HAVE ANOTHER PLAN IN THE PIPELINE?
ABOUT THE GUESTS
Catarina Pereira grew up in Sydney and started in the Hair & Beauty industry at the age of 16. Her entrepreneurial vision started in Portugal when she was 21 and opened her first salon. Since then she has owned multiple salons and Day SPAs.
In 2013, Catarina ventured back to Australia with her family. As they adapted to this amazing country, she sold her SPA in Portugal and found herself working for others in a ‘JOB’ feeling stuck & demotivated.
In 2015, she decided to start up something for herself. Today, she has a successful Network Marketing team and is very passionate in sharing with people how they too can work from anywhere, create a life of residual income and get paid their worth.
Livia York is a self-published Author from Southport and began her career in the last three years. In October 2015, Livia launched her first book ‘Rise: The Abused Child of the Phoenix’, a true story about domestic violence.
Since then, Livia has achieved great success, and has now also turned her hand to writing Poetry, for which she is receiving widespread acclaim in the USA, India, Philippines and England.
Livia’s book has been awarded “Readers Favourite Five Stars” and more recently she a won an International Poetry Competition in USA.
Caroline Barton has over 25 years of experience in the finance, governance and compliance arenas. In May 2015, she decided to step out and start her own business.
Her passion is to help business owners move their businesses in new directions and developing the strategy, motivation and accountability required to focus on what really matters to them.
Caroline offers Coaching, Consultancy and Training from her professional work space where she operates along with a business partner. It is co-working space where people can rent space for meetings, workshops or simply as an office.
FINAL NOTES
Each one of my guests had their own challenges. But they have something in common: they decided to TAKE ACTION and look for something that gives them more ENJOYMENT to do and also improves their lives financially.
All these options I shared here can be done full-time or part-time. You can find many others out there, you just need to find the one that will give you satisfaction and compensate you financially.
Don’t forget that like other occupations, they also require work and commitment, but if you choose one you like to do, it won’t feel like a job; you can see it as a hobby that gives you enjoyment.
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for change in your life you need to change your habits, your routines, and maybe your mindset.
Remember:
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN LIFE.
NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNLESS YOU CHANGE.
