Did you know that fulltime job creation has stagnated since its peak in 2008? According to the leading employment researcher Conrad Liveris (2017), it is becoming HARDER TO GET A FULLTIME JOB and he concludes that future jobs will be on a part-time basis mainly. Unfortunately, as we know, part-time jobs aren’t the types of jobs most people want, the kind that pay the bills.
As you can see from the graph below, women are more predisposed to work part-time than men. Based on Mr Liveris conclusions, I would say that women are indeed more inclined to deal successfully with the new employment changes projected. This is so true and the prove is the huge number of women I came across in the last 3 years, looking for opportunities to escape the ordinary 9-5 cycle and somehow fight against JOB INSECURITY.
ADVICE 1: Employment dynamics are changing. Be prepared. There are many opportunities out there and you can start now. You will find it enjoyable as well. OPEN YOUR MIND.

My experience in corporate realms, shows that people are dismissing the current employment trends. The truth is that you are too focused in your work, career, and don’t have time to look outside the box when deep changes are happening. This becomes a major issue when you lose your job. Losing your job will affect your financial circumstances and emotions such as anger, depression and apprehension about the future will hit you. BUT THERE IS HOPE!
When my job came to an end, I felt apprehensive about the future. But, I believe that the investment I’ve made on personal growth in the last few years is helping me, not only to overcome the situation but also aiding me through my journey.
ADVICE 2: You need to take care of yourself. Personal growth helps you to stay motivated and strengthens your MIND-SET to overcome challenges, because they will happen all your life. Download HERE your Free E-BOOK of one of my favorite authors.
Six months have passed since I decided to look for an opportunity to provide me a different lifestyle, more flexibility and not be 100% dependent of an employer. It doesn’t mean I don’t work hard, because I do, but it gave a new perspective about what I want to do, achieve and leave in terms of legacy. The fact that I am associated with a MLM company is also helping. I must say also that my partners’ financial support has been helpful while I set up our FUTURE. We both know that this sacrifice is for something much better and it is not far away.
ADVICE 3: While you are employed, find an OPPORTUNITY that complements your salary and capable to provide you a better lifestyle, with more choices and fun. This is way is less stressful than starting without any financial support. And in the future, if you decide to work part-time or even leave the job, it’s your choice!
