Dear IELTS Student, Here is Something You Should Know

IELTS Student, Here is Something You Should Know - Transform-Lives

IELTS student, which score do you need? The average band score in 2016 for Academic test takers was 5.9-6.0, and 6.3 for General training [1]? Are you feeling confident you will get “your score” and pass first time?

If you’re reading this article you most certainly want to study or work where English is used to communicate or even to immigrate. I personally sat for an IELTS exam for immigration purpose, and took me 4 attempts until I got the band score I needed. Read more here.

How many times more do you want to repeat the exam?

What I didn’t know at that time is what I am about to share with you: an additional powerful exercise that can be the difference between repeating the exam or get it right at first. It could have saved me time, money and most importantly avoid stress and frustration

If stress nocks your door your brain freezes, and you simply stop thinking. It is important to build your confidence. This is what happened to me in one of my exam attempts, I went from 5.5 in speaking to 8.0 in a month. I was unfortunate with the examiner that didn’t help me to stay relaxed and I simply froze.

If your English is Upper Intermediate or less and you need a score of 6 or above I recommend a second person to help you. It worked for me. This is particularly important for speaking and writing.

Build your confidence
When you feel confident you’re more likely to feel less stressed and anxious and that definitely helps a lot! Plus, if you use the power of your mind to increase your probabilities to succeed.

So YES, I totally understand how challenging this journey can be. I was in the same boat a few years ago when I decided to move to Australia. You can read more about my journey here.

In summary, besides of being WELL prepared, it is also important to feel extremely confident during the 4 different phases of the exam. I know the pain. Now, my role is to make the process easier by helping you to bulletproof your confidence using the power of your mind. Read more here.
